Clean hearing aids sound clearer and last longer.
Two short videos show you how to replace your filter and dome and how to clean your microphones. Pick the one that matches what you wear, hearing aids or custom ear molds.
Hearing aids
Replace the dome and filter every 4–6 weeks, or sooner if sounds seem muffled. Clean the microphones weekly, or any time sound seems distant or unclear.
Replace the dome and filter
Pull the dome straight off the receiver and discard it.
Find the wax filter. It's the small disc at the tip of the hearing aid where sound exits. Use the filter applicator that came with your hearing aids. It may differ by manufacturer and model.
Take a replacement filter from your kit. Remove one applicator and use the empty side to take out the old filter. Rotate the applicator and insert the new filter.
Remove a new dome from the packet and press it onto the receiver. Give it a gentle tug to confirm it's secure.
Clean the microphones
Find the microphone ports. Their location may differ depending on the manufacturer.
Use the brush from your kit to gently sweep across each mic opening in one direction. Use light strokes only. Never press into the opening, and don't use the wax loop here.
Custom Ear Molds
